Who we are

Bahwan Healthcare Centre prides itself on being a pioneering healthcare solutions provider in the Sultanate of Oman.

Established in the year 1979 as Ebin Rushed Pharmacy and restructured in 2009 as Bahwan Healthcare Centre [BHC], we have been providing comprehensive healthcare solutions across the length and breadth of the Sultanate of Oman.

Backed up by a team of qualified and experienced professionals and a vast network of support services and pharmacy outlets across the country, BHC has been part of the nation’s ambitious healthcare development to help its citizens lead a healthy life.

Over the years, BHC has played a key role in transitioning hospitals in the Sultanate from analog to digital mode and thereby facilitating seamless functioning of healthcare establishments.

Bahwan Healthcare Centre LLC has two major divisions: Bahwan Medical Centre, (BMC) and Bahwan Medical Supplies (BMS)

Bahwan Medical Centre (BMC)

Started 30 years ago as a clinical facility to take care of the Group's 20000 plus employees, BMC is now open to public, fully licensed by Oman's Ministry of Health with its state-of-the art facilities and modern equipment and laboratories and expert doctors offering consultations and treatment in disciplines such as Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Physiotherapy, Family Medicine and General medicine, Neck and Back Pain Management including IDD Therapy.

Bahwan Medical Supplies (BMS)

Bahwan Medical Supplies covers a wide range of healthcare divisions namely, Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacies, Surgical Instruments and consumables, Medical Equipment and Devices, Dental Equipment & Products, Laboratory Supplies, Bio Medical Services, Healthcare IT and Hospital Furniture.

Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacies

For over 30 years, the Bahwan Healthcare Centre represents some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers such as Baxter, AmGen, National Pharmaceuticals Co, Gilead, Biogen Idec, Unichem Laboratories, Perre Fabre and Riyadh Pharma and has been serving Oman’s Government medical institutions and the private market with a wide range of pharmaceutical and OTC products. With an excellent network of sales and service support, our supplies and services cover the entire territory of the Sultanate of Oman.
We also provide excellent warehousing and cold chain facilities along with back office support for our clients.
Two Bahwan Pharmacy outlets in Muscat - one at Muscat Grand Mall and the other at Oasis Mall - sell a wide range of products to meet the demands of our customers.

Surgical Instruments and consumables

As one of the pioneers in healthcare in Oman, we represent leading global medical device companies that develop and produce instruments for surgical correction and fixation in orthopedics, general surgery as well as neuro, dental, cardiovascular surgeries and ENT.
We are also one of the leading suppliers of top quality surgical consumable products. The portfolio includes products ranging from traditional surgical instruments to modern wound dressings. We are also one of the leading suppliers of latest surgical consumables for renal and cardiac care.

Medical Equipment and Devices

We have partnered with the best manufacturers in the world to bring world-class medical equipment to Oman that include Braun, Toshiba, Seca, WelchAllwyn, Topcon, and St.Jude Medical, Strengthened by our emphasis on high standards of customer service and support, we are among the top five companies in this sector.
Our core strengths are in supplying equipment in the specialized areas of cardiology implants, radiology and cardiology imaging including ultrasound scanners , echo cardiac systems, x-ray radiological and fluoroscopy, shockwave lithotripters for kidney stones, patient monitors, ECG machines, non-invasive BP systems, to name a few.
We work closely with the Government in its continuing drive to establish new hospitals, improve and expand the facilities of existing hospitals, and procure new equipment and treatment methods all over the Sultanate of Oman.

Dental Equipment & Products

We are ranked as No 1. in dental equipment in the institutional sector in Oman representing internationally reputed manufacturers. Renowned names in the sector such as adec, Vatech, EMS, Durr Dental and W&H are represented by us.
We have a team of well trained & manufacturer certified engineers who support and maintain the dental installations that include dental chair systems, dental hand pieces, air and electric motors, air compressor and suction systems, dental x-ray, image plate scanners, OPG systems, digital CBCT-3D dental imaging systems and dental consumables.
Our service support contracts to do preventive maintenance and regular check-ups to increase the reliability and longevity of dental equipment is backed up by a team of qualified and experienced technicians.

Laboratory Supplies

The Laboratory Division caters to customers from the medical laboratory diagnostics and industrial segments.
To support the smooth and uninterrupted functioning of critical departments we ensure timely supplies through advance planning and round-the-clock service support.
We represent many reputed principals who are worldwide leaders in medical laboratory domain known for supplying high quality products and services such as Siemens, sysmex, Biorad, Hettich and Diesse.

Bio-Medical Services

Our exclusive Biomedical Engineering division ensures that technical support is provided to all our customers throughout the Sultanate of Oman.

Healthcare IT

We have a consistent track record of delivering IT-intensive projects, such as Picture Archival & Communications System (PACS) for radiology in partnership with a major international company with extensive experience in helping hospitals and healthcare establishments to transition from the analog film age to the filmless digital era, delivering seamless workflow and driving improvements in efficiency.
We are also suppliers of laboratory information systems and clinical domain-specific software such as genetic management and clinical decision management software.

Hospital Furniture

We clearly understand the complex requirements of physicians and surgeons in terms of their specialized requirement for furniture and excel in providing tailor-made solutions with extensive accessories to satisfy their specialised needs.
We sell and maintain operation theatre tables, hospital beds and ward furniture including emergency patient trolley, examination couch, obstetrics and gynecology, birthing tables, day-care procedure tables, OT lights and clustered examination lights as part of our comprehensive range of furniture sourced from wellknown international manufacturers
